Immerse yourself in the captivating journey of transforming my original paintings into exquisite fine art reproductions. It is a harmonious blend of science, artistry, and customer-centricity, meticulously crafted to capture the essence of the original piece.
Creating a fine art reproduction is a delicate dance between the finest materials, cutting-edge technology, and the fusion of knowledge and creativity. I go beyond mere color-matching; my goal is to ensure that each reproduction evokes the same emotional resonance and visual impact as the original masterpiece.
Substrates, the canvas or paper on which the image is printed, serve as the foundation for my artistic endeavor. The inks or pigments we use bring life to the image, infusing it with vibrant colors and intricate details.
The color technician expertly mounts the original painting, preparing it for the meticulous process of photography or scanning. In this intricate art form, the human touch plays a vital role. Alignment between the color technician, production manager, and me the artist is crucial, enabling us to communicate and achieve the perfect color match.
Through the art of photography or scanning, we capture the essence of the painting. We understand that values, contrast, and color density are as significant as achieving precise color replication. My aim is to create a replicated image that invites your eyes to traverse its details, just as they would when beholding the original masterpiece.
My dedicated color technicians work closely with the captured digital file, meticulously altering it to closely mirror the original painting. He create a series of proofs, each bringing us closer to the true essence of the artwork. The most recent proof is continuously compared to the original painting by my printer's color technician, as well as myself, the artist.
Once the giclée on canvas emerges, it undergoes careful inspection, drying, and a final protective coating. Our discerning eyes meticulously scrutinize every detail before it is deemed ready for shipping, ensuring that only the highest quality reproductions grace your walls.
With each giclée reproduction, a symphony of colors comes to life. Every individual print is meticulously crafted, with the printing process taking hours, depending on its size. Once the printing is complete, a protective UV coating is delicately applied, enhancing the durability and longevity of the artwork. My professional curators and color technicians meticulously inspect each reproduction, ensuring impeccable quality and color accuracy.
Giclées can be reproduced on two exquisite substrates: canvas and paper. Paper giclées, reminiscent of the original painting, are best complemented with framing and glass, preserving their elegance. Regardless of the chosen substrate and framing style, our giclées deserve the same care and reverence as an original painting. I recommend cleaning them gently with a soft, dry cloth and hanging them away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
I take great pride in the authenticity and exclusivity of each limited edition reproduction. Every reproduction in the edition is individually signed and numbered, except for the series of 1000, which is not numbered. To validate its authenticity, each reproduction is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, printed on acid-free paper. For open editions, a certified digital file serves as the proof of authenticity. To ensure its longevity and safekeeping, it is advisable to store the Certificate of Authenticity within the protective jacket of paper prints or securely attach it to the back of a limited edition reproduction, preserving its collectability.
